"Where are we going?" This is a question of vision and unfortunately remains unanswered by many leaders. When Leadership IQ assessed over 21,000 employees on their leaders' effectiveness, they discovered that over 71% of managers were not aligned with the organization's vision. Not only are they not aligned with the company's vision, but they also fail to have a personal vision that guides their leadership. Leaders spend roughly only 3% of their time envisioning and planning for the future and enlisting their people to behold, share, invest, and execute the vision. Without purpose and vision, most leaders fail to reach their potential and impact.

While 90% of leaders realize the importance of having a purpose and recognize that having a strong sense of purpose boosts organizational performance and drives employee engagement, innovation, and adaptation, less than half of them affirm that their organization actually implements its purpose in a way that can be felt and seen within the day-to-day operations, processes, leadership, and decision-making. However, the outcomes of purpose-driven leadership are clear:

  • Higher employee engagement

  • Strong competitive differentiation

  • Increased revenue growth

  • Increased profit growth

  • Higher net promoter scores

In the Purpose-Driven Leadership Program, executives and leaders, and will learn how to:

  • Create Shared Purpose & Vision as a Leader

  • Activate and Align Organizational, Team, & Individual Purpose

  • Make & Manage Meaning at Work

  • Innovate Sustainable Change & Transformation

  • Achieve & Scale Impact

Workshop Topics

  • Purpose-driven leadership recognizes that 1) leadership emerges from an individual when they align with a purpose in pursuit of what matters 2) leadership is realized when one can galvanize others to serve through a compelling vision and 3) a leader is able to achieve impact and success by accomplishing their organization's mission.

Purpose serves as a leader's and organization's foundation while the vision provides direction or a blueprint to work towards a credible, realistic, and inspiring future. Anyone can convey orders, information, and deadlines, but can you galvanize and encourage others to pursue a shared purpose and leave an impact? The best leaders don't just manage. They move with mission to pursue a purpose and vision that produces results and leaves a legacy and impact, all while inspiring, igniting, and developing their people's potential so they can do the same.

During this workshop participants will have the opportunity to:

    • Discover the Impact of Purposeful, Transformational, Authentic, and Servant Leadership

    • Learn PWI's Personal Purpose Discovery Model

  • In a recent study conducted by McKinsey, 80% of employees stated that purpose was important but noted that most companies don't have one, "let alone one that makes a difference." In another study conducted by Gallup, researchers discovered that 60% of employees don't even know what their company's purpose is or what it stands for. This lack of purpose affects the strategic direction, which threatens a company’s overall effectiveness and potential impact both internally and externally. To prioritize purpose, it's important to have a clear understanding of what purpose is and how it serves as the core of your organization's identity so you can implement it both organizationally and individually to make the ultimate impact.

During this workshop, participants will have the opportunity to:

    • Learn PWI's Organizational Purpose & Team Purpose Discovery Model

  • For years, there has been a disconnect between employees' search for purpose and their desire for meaningful work versus what they experience. This has been known as the purpose gap. With societal contributions and meaningful work being the two top priorities for employees, employee motivation and morale are dipping as the majority of company purpose statements fail to capture concern for both society and their employees. Employees will only express themselves and engage in their work to the extent that it matters to them and the environment is cultivated for them to do so. In order for them to flourish, leaders must focus on creating the right environment and context for them to engage and excel in meaningful work.

During this workshop, participants will have the opportunity to:

    • Discover the Conditions & Sources of Meaning That Drive Engagement, Motivation, & Commitment

    • Learn How to Leverage Job & Team Crafting Strategies to Increase Meaning, Engagement, & Resilience

  • Purpose-driven leaders don't accept mediocrity. They choose the meaningful by proactively moving beyond the status-quo to grow, innovate, and seek new opportunities. Purpose provides a path for innovation by highlighting opportunities to move the organization forward. Purpose-driven leaders know that vision, inspiration, innovation, and engagement go hand in hand to bring about lasting change and transformation for their people, customers, and organization.

Successful leaders know how to stay focused on this vision while balancing their time, energy, and resources while staying focused on the tasks at hand. To achieve success, it is critical that purpose-driven leaders know how to create efficient, scaleable processes, set clear expectations, and create behavioral guidelines for how everyone will come together to achieve goals and scale impact.
